IPOH: Barisan National (BN) information chiefs in all 14 states have been asked to set up information committees in all their divisions to prepare for the 13th general election, BN and Umno information chief Datuk Ahmad Maslan said.
Ahmad, who is also a deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Department, said the leaders were told to maximise efforts in conveying BN's message through the print, electronic and digital media as well as in face-to-face meetings.
He said BN's victory in the next polls depended on four main criteria -- leadership at all levels, the government's service track record, federal policies and the rakyat's confidence in the government for the future.
"Leaders need to strengthen and increase their respective efforts in getting our message loud and clear to the public.
"Now is the time to remind people of the government's good service and educate them on the policies and subsidies which have been provided for their benefit," Ahmad said after meeting Perak BN information leaders at a closed-door meeting here on Monday night.
He will next be heading to Perlis, Sabah and Sarawak.
