The school's headmaster, Mohd Taib Ahmad, said the new blocks are built on the site of the school's original building.

They are now being used by 70 students and 14 teachers as well as five staff since the start of the school year.  He said the new buildings had been eagerly waited by the students, the parents and the community considering the original building, which was half wooded, had been termite-infested and also leaking.  "During the two-year construction period, the students, teachers and staff had to use several cabins provided by the contractor. We are grateful to the government for building the new blocks that are well-equipped for our needs," said Mohd Taib.  The launch of the new blocks was officiated by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Ahmad Maslan, who is also Pontian MP.  In his speech, Ahmad urged the parents, school management and former students to contribute to the school's Parent-Teacher Association's coffers for the purpose of carrying out their activities.
