PM nod for Quran printing centre
PUTRAJAYA: The government supports efforts to turn Malaysia into the world's second biggest Quran printing centre after Saudi Arabia.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak kissing the Quran at the launch of the Quran and Lafziyyah translation, (Perkata) published by Restu Foundation, in Putrajaya yesterday.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said the initiative should be pursued to promote the sacred writings of Islam.
"I will give my cooperation and support to ensure that the goal becomes a reality," he said after launching the Quran and Lafziyyah translation, published by Restu Foundation, here yesterday.
Najib said he hoped the foundation's effort to turn the country into a world-class Quran printing centre would be blessed.
Printed in four colours, the Quran and Lafziyyah translation is priced at RM90 a copy. Bernama
