KUALA LUMPUR: The government will soon distribute pamphlets outlining key areas of the 2013 Budget for better understanding among the people, said Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's department Datuk Ahmad Maslan.

He said the 2013 Budget, presented by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak last Friday, had identified 111 touch points for the people, which would be summarised and distributed by Barisan Nasional's component parties.
"We are in the process of preparing the factsheet, which will be ready in two to three days," said Ahmad, who is also BN publicity and information bureau chairman.
"The government's Budget allows various segments of society to receive more than one benefit. For example, single Malaysians are entitled to the 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M) as well as the RM200 smartphone rebate."
Ahmad criticised the opposition coalition's budget for being non-comprehensive and based on fake promises.
"Their budget figure is RM234 billion. Did they get that figure out of thin air? BN's figure, on the other hand, is a result of calculated analysis," he told reporters after a meeting with representatives of BN component parties here yesterday.
He added that Malaysians should not gamble their future on the opposition coalition, which still had not formed a shadow cabinet.
